It's not how far we walk at NAMIWalks El Paso on Saturday, October 14 at Ascarate Park, but how far they've come to break the stigma on mental health. With your support and high spirits, NAMI El Paso intend to make an unprecedented impact on mental health in the 915.
Since 1986, NAMI El Paso has provided advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental health conditions can build better lives.
There is a need from the community to talk about mental health and to show others that they are not alone. Nationally, the average delay between symptom onset and treatment is 11 years. NAMI El Paso creates safe spaces, like NAMIWalks El Paso, for individuals affected by mental health conditions to take a step towards recovery.
NAMI El Paso is proud to offer free mental health education to the borderland in both English and Spanish with our 11 Signature Programs. Our commitment to mental health drives us to help our community members despite an individual's diagnosis, socioeconomic situation, and residency status.
NAMI El Paso envisions a world where all persons affected by mental health conditions experience resiliency, recovery and wellness. Whether you're a previous participant or a new voice waiting to be heard, you'll find the festivities inspired and inspiring.
