Established in 2013 as a 501(c)(3) public charity, the Paso del Norte Community Foundation supports the philanthropic goals of individuals, families, corporations, foundations and nonprofit organizations to improve education, health, social services, economic development, and quality of life in the Paso del Norte region.

Since 2013, the PDNCF has welcomed more than 80 funds to our Community of Philanthropy from larger nonprofit organizations and foundations such as the Paso del Norte Health Foundation, EPISD Education Foundation, El Paso Pro Musica Foundation and Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso Foundation to funds established to support scholarships, health and community initiatives.
In 2018, the Paso del Norte Health Foundation became a supporting organization to the Paso del Norte Community Foundation to grow assets through philanthropy and increase grantmaking to improve health. The partnership creates operating efficiencies for both foundations by sharing executive, program and development staff as well as administrative, financial and investment support.
The Paso del Norte Health Foundation was founded in 1995 to lead, leverage and invest in initiatives, programs and policies that promote health and prevent disease in the Paso del Norte region.

The Paso del Norte Community Foundation additionally partners with the Fundación Paso del Norte para la Salud y Bienestar (Fundación), a Mexican Asociacion Civil, founded in 2015 to inspire and grow philanthropic giving and advance partnerships and initiatives to improve the health and well-being in Ciudad Juárez.
The Paso del Norte Community Foundation is governed by a 14-member volunteer board of directors committed to the vision, mission and values of the Foundation.
The PDNCF staff consists of experienced professionals committed to guiding new and current donors to ensure their charitable giving does the most good.
