Dance, Community, and a Great Cause!

We are excited that one of our own, Lupe Diaz, Program Manager at the Paso del Norte Community Foundation, along with her dance partner Emmanuel Alfaro, will be participating in this year’s Dance for Kids’ Sake!
Lupe’s passion for this cause grew while serving as a volunteer coordinator at a local nonprofit, where she ran a summer camp for several years. “Seeing how passionate kids are and how hungry they are to do better for our community, and their futures is why the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is so important to me,” she shared. Emmanuel, an active member of the U.S. Army, is also a former Big Brothers Big Sisters mentor. After returning from deployment in Afghanistan, he founded Folklórico Alfaro, where he teaches children as young as five to build confidence, discipline, and a strong work ethic through dance.
The event takes place Saturday, October 25 at the Plaza Theatre, featuring a silent auction, live music, and a dance competition where 12 couples will go head-to-head—all to ensure our community’s youth continue to have this vital program available.
Together, Lupe and Emmanuel are honored to represent PdNCF on the dance floor and raise funds to support Big Brothers Big Sisters. Don’t miss the event, emceed by Mario and Courtney Lopez! Get your tickets below:
