Smartphone Documentary Class for Adults! (Registration deadline August 17th)

This 10-day workshop provides students (ages 18+) with a strong foundation for documentary filmmaking all from a smart phone or tablet.

 Students will build on each class to create a short professional style documentary to use for creative and/or business/commercial purposes. They will utilize proper camera framing techniques, natural lighting techniques, and learn the basics of editing using an editing app compatible with both Apple and Android devices. Special guests who will share their insight, knowledge, and professional experience in doc filmmaking include Oscar-nominated filmmaker and former University of San Francisco professor, Sam Green and multi-media documentary maker, UTEP educator, and researcher, Sabiha Kahn.

 The Micro Documentary class is made possible with the support of the Perspective Fund.

 Dates: August 18th - September 1st, Daily - 6:30 pm - 8 pm MST

Price: $100 (sliding scale is an option for those who are not able to pay full price)
