Sunrise Rotary Fund in Memory of Matt Keats

Matt Keats, a native Chicagoan, made El Paso his home in the mid ‘90s. An avid sports fan, Matt quickly acquiesced to the many sports teams in the city including nearly all UTEP sports, Rhino’s hockey, Chihuahuas baseball, and the Locomotive’s soccer teams. This was evident by anyone who visited Matt’s business office in east El Paso.

An active member in both city and private industry as a board member of multiple organizations, Matt found his true passion with El Paso’s Sunrise Rotary club. The consummate salesman, Matt was always promoting the various works of Rotary International, and more specifically El Paso Sunrise Rotary. A twice-elected club president, talented fundraiser, and always the life of the party at the monthly Sunrise socials.

Matt Keats was emblematic of what it means to be a Rotarian. He will be missed.

Because of Matt’s deep involvement with Sunrise Rotary, the Keats family has asked Sunrise Rotary to set up a donation page in his honor. Contributions to this account will be used towards the various causes he cared so deeply about.
