Our Mission, Our Impact, and How Your Support Changes Lives
The City of El Paso’s Veteran & Military Affairs Division exists for one purpose:
to honor, serve, and empower every veteran, service member, military spouse, caregiver, and dependent across our region.
El Paso is one of the largest military and veteran communities in the nation. Our work ensures that those who serve—and the families who serve alongside them—have access to the support, resources, and opportunities they deserve.
Your partnership fuels programs that transform lives, strengthen families, and build a resilient Borderland community.
What We Do
We connect veterans and families to life-changing resources.
Our department serves as a central hub for navigating benefits, mental health services, employment pathways, education programs, and transitional support. Through one-on-one guidance and large-scale outreach, we help thousands of individuals each year.
We build and strengthen the region’s veteran ecosystem.
We convene local, state, and national partners—including nonprofits, higher education, VSOs, mental health providers, and Fort Bliss—to ensure veterans and military families never fall through the cracks.
We create high-impact annual events that serve the entire military family.
Your contributions support cornerstone programs such as:
