Community Impact Summer Internship Returns for Year Three

The Paso del Norte Community Foundation is proud to launch the third year of its Community Impact Summer Internship Program, connecting local college students with meaningful, paid opportunities at nonprofit organizations across the region.

This summer, the program will place interns with 15 nonprofit partners, giving students the chance to gain hands-on experience while supporting organizations that are making a difference in our community.

Interns will work 20–25 hours per week beginning June 22, 2026, earning $15 per hour while building professional skills in areas such as project management, communication, and emerging tools like AI. In addition to their day-to-day work, participants will receive mentorship and professional development designed to prepare them for long-term career success.

A required participant orientation will be held on May 4, ensuring interns are equipped and ready to make the most of their experience from day one.

This initiative is made possible through continued partnership with Workforce Solutions Borderplex and support from Bank of America, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening both the nonprofit sector and the region’s future workforce.

As the program enters its third year, it continues to grow as a powerful model for workforce development—creating pathways for students while helping nonprofits expand their capacity and impact.
