Downs in Motion is pleased to announce that it is kicking off its next season on March 1, 2021. The program provides social activities and support for young people with down syndrome or other intellectual disabilities.  Some of this programming includes basketball and karate classes, with the intention of providing young people with down syndrome the opportunity to stay physically active while developing friendships and building a community. 

Orientation will be held on Saturday, February 27^th at Ascarate Park from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.  Kids will golf free of charge while parents attend the orientation session.  If you know someone who will benefit from the getting involved in Downs in Motion, please encourage them to attend the orientation session to learn more about the quality programming and community offered by Downs in Motion.  To register, please sign up here: https://abundantchurch.churchcenter.com/groups/abundant-groups/downs-in-motion  

Downs in Motion was established as a fund of the Paso del Norte Community Foundation by Edith and Gabriel Lujan, parents of four children and whose son, Angel, has down syndrome.
