Recently, the Paso del Norte Community Foundation (PdNCF) had the honor of awarding the Coach McLain Track and Cross-Country Scholarship to Marley Jewell, an outstanding student-athlete from El Paso’s Eastwood High School.

The Coach McLain Scholarship was established by LaDeena and Toby Spoon, along with their son, Isaac Spoon, an Eastwood High School graduate and former track athlete. The scholarship serves as a heartfelt tribute to Coach McLain’s exceptional leadership and tireless commitment to student-athletes throughout his coaching career. Known for his integrity, mentorship, and passion for the sport, Coach McLain has left an indelible mark on the Eastwood High School community.

This year’s recipient, Marley Jewell, has distinguished herself through her athletic achievements, strong academic performance, and commitment to personal growth. The scholarship will provide her with valuable support as she continues her educational journey and pursues her goals.
