Luis Fernandez joined the Paso del Norte Community Foundation (PdNCF) Board in 2017 and serves on the Fund Development Committee helping with fundraising efforts on both sides of the border.
A graduate from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in accounting, Mr. Fernandez is the Chairman and CEO of Frutas Concentradas (DBA Novamex), the leading importer and marketer of Mexican soft drinks and groceries in the United States. He has served in a variety of leadership positions over the years, including former Chairman of Sistema Axis, S.A. (DBA Brasa), a developer of residential housing in three cities of northern Mexico; and Axiscom, S.A., an organization based on sight, sound and analytics to improve security and optimize business results. Mr. Fernandez is the main shareholder of Transtelco Holding, Inc., a world class telecommunications service provider in Mexico, and Fevisa, one of Mexico’s largest glass container manufacturers. Mr. Fernandez was also a member of the Borderplex Alliance and founding partner of Plan Estrategico de Ciudad. Juárez, Chih., Mexico.
