Only a few days left to be a part of the biggest El Paso Giving Day in history

The fourth annual El Paso Giving Day is on track to be the biggest one yet! But you don’t have to wait to donate. The weeklong early giving period continues as we seek to raise $3 million for nonprofits in our community.

Generous donors gave more than $1.5 million in the first day of the weeklong early giving period. Walmart will match the first $1 million in donations to qualifying nonprofits. That means at least $2.5 million is already on its way to nonprofit organizations in our community.

The new goal for El Paso Giving Day stands at $3 million between now and 11:59pm MT on Thursday, November 14, 2019. Just visit ElPasoGivingDay.org, pick from among 200 local nonprofit organizations and give. It’s just that simple.

If you’d rather wait until El Paso Giving Day, more than $10,000 in Power Hour Prizes are available to nonprofit organizations for funds raised on Thursday, November 14. Power Hour Prizes are sponsored by Texas Gas Service, Lauterbach Borschow CPA, United HealthCare and Pack and Ship Express.

Participating nonprofit organizations and their supporters will gather to celebrate the 4th Annual El Paso Giving day from 5-8pm with a Mega Power Hour After Hours on Thursday, November 14, at Olo Gallery, 504 W. San Francisco Avenue, in Downtown El Paso.

About El Paso Giving Day
El Paso Giving Day is part of the Paso del Norte Community Foundation’s Community of Philanthropy.  Since its inaugural year in 2016, members of our community have contributed approximately $700,000 to nearly 200 non-profit organizations throughout our community.  The region’s only community-wide day of charitable giving is held annually in November and accepts donations as small as $10. With the support of local and national organizations, including the Meadows Foundation, El Paso Electric, Hoy Family Auto, Microsoft, Las Palmas del Sol Healthcare and United Healthcare, El Paso Giving Day incentivizes participating non-profit organizations to raise even more money to support their missions through generous matching funds and friendly competitions.

In addition to helping El Paso nonprofits raise much needed funds by matching up to $1 million the monetary contributions made through the El Paso Giving Day campaign, Walmart is celebrating the El Paso community’s spirit of volunteerism by awarding up to $500,000 in grants through an El Paso Giving Time initiative, created in collaboration with the Paso del Norte Community Foundation.
