The Paso del Norte Community Foundation (PDNCF) is pleased to announce another $1 million in rental assistance available to eligible landlord/tenant applicants to help prevent evictions this holiday season. The program is funded by the City of El Paso’s Community Development Block Grant COVID-19 Relief Funds (CDBG-CV) through EPRentHelp.org on December 16th, as funds are available. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following requirements:
There is no limit to the monthly rental assistance provided through the program, although there is a six-month cap overall in rental assistance.
The $1 million award is in addition to a successful $6 million rental assistance program that was awarded to the PDNCF by the City of El Paso through a competitive application process earlier this year. The $6M rental assistance program was funded through federal Treasury CARES Act funding, executed in partnership with the nonprofits BakerRipley and Under One Roof of the El Paso Apartment Association using an application portal developed by Connective. The program launched in late July with the English and Spanish website. Landlords submitted a joint Landlord-Tenant application using a unique link provided to individual landlords. More than 3,000 tenants received assistance through the program.
