“We want to play an active role in the transformation of the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem through advocacy, members, and programs,” said Beto Pallares, Founder of the SunCruces Angels Fund.
In doing so, the fund plans to host special forums for members and entrepreneurs to allow the exchange of concepts, products, services, or projects that seek investment capital.
“There was a lack, or nonexistence, of organized angel groups in El Paso. There are over 600 in the country, and El Paso is the only city in Texas without, said Beto. “The forums are a networking opportunity for investors and entrepreneurs to evaluate one another.”
Additionally, the fund will educate emerging companies and entrepreneurs on the skills necessary to grow and flourish; and promote regional companies who hold the promise of becoming large, successful enterprises that will thereby strengthen the economy.
“Though we are prioritizing the Paso del Norte region, we will also consider companies outside of the local area for consideration,” said Beto.
The SunCruces Angels Fund plans to launch in September and are eager to get started.
“The Foundation has a long history of supporting the community and organizations in the region. Our past experiences, relationships, and the success of other funds such as the STTE Foundation, has reinforced the PdNCF as a great partner.”
