The Paso del Norte Community Foundation proudly hosted its 2025 Scholarship Award Ceremony on August 13th, honoring the remarkable achievements of local students. Surrounded by their families, scholars shared their aspirations for the future while celebrating this milestone in their academic journeys.

In recognition of the generosity that makes these opportunities possible, donors were also highlighted for establishing scholarships that support students across diverse fields of study. Their philanthropy continues to create lasting impact for generations to come.

This year, the Foundation awarded 223 scholarships totaling $475,105.70 on behalf of the 30 scholarship funds we manage. The ceremony specifically recognized students receiving awards from our internally managed scholarship funds.

The evening featured remarks from Ian Diaz, a past Coach McLain Scholar, who reflected on how scholarships can transform lives. Melissa Carrillo, donor of the Rose Petals and Apples Scholarship, also shared her story. She spoke about the scholarship’s mission to support single mothers pursuing their dreams of becoming educators.
