The Paso del Norte Community Foundation is thrilled to celebrate the launch of the Amigo Airsho Maverick Foundation, a new philanthropic initiative inspired by the legacy of the iconic Amigo Airsho. For more than 30 years, Amigo Airsho was a cornerstone of the El Paso community, honoring the Armed Forces, showcasing aviation history, and igniting a passion for flight through breathtaking aerobatics, aircraft displays, and thrilling demonstrations.

At the heart of the Foundation’s mission is a commitment to sparking a lifelong passion for flight and among its flagship programs is the MountainStar Sports Group Amigo Airsho Skybound Scholarship, created to support high school seniors from El Paso and Doña Ana County pursuing 2- to 4-year degrees in aviation, aerospace, or space-related fields.

This year, the Foundation proudly awarded scholarships to eight outstanding graduating seniors, each determined to shape the future of aerospace innovation. With the support of this scholarship, these students are one step closer to pursuing their goals in aviation and aerospace.

The return of Amigo Airsho marks a new chapter in El Paso’s aviation story, and the Maverick Foundation is honored to help the next generation soar.
