Canutillo Alumni Foundation for Education (CAFÉ) Announces May Golf Tournament
The Canutillo Alumni Foundation for Education's (CAFE) mission is to provide scholarships for talented, college-bound Canutillo High School and Northwest Early College High School graduates who are representative of the high-quality education provided by the Canutillo Independent School District and who display high-caliber academic ability and a mindset of community service and involvement.
To continue providing scholarships to students, CAFÉ holds an annual golf tournament to raise funds. Unfortunately, last year, CAFÉ suspended the golf tournament to ensure all citizens of the Paso del Norte region remained safe and healthy. Although the event was suspended, awarding of scholarships was not! Thanks to generous sponsors, Charlie Clark Nissan El Paso; Estrada Hinojosa & Company; ADM Group, Inc.; Midstate Energy; Norton Rose Fulbright; Blanco Ordoñez Mata & Wechsler, P.C. and other donors, TWENTY-FIVE students were able to receive $1,000 scholarships to continue their academic careers. This year, CAFÉ is able to continue the golf tournament, the biggest fundraiser for this alumni group.
CAFÉ’s golf tournament will be held on Friday, May 14th at the Butterfield Trail Golf Club. Registration begins at 11 AM and the shot gun start is at 12 PM. To support CAFÉ’s efforts, sponsorship levels range from player sponsor to title sponsor. As a player sponsor, one may play in the tournament, receive dinner at night event, and eligible to receive awards and prizes. Team sponsors include golf packages of four players and company marketing opportunities. Larger sponsors can host up to two teams and provides extensive marketing opportunities.
