For the last three years, the Mija Project has joined forces with UTEP College of Engineering, El Paso Electric, and TXDOT El Paso for “Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day” as part of UTEP’s Engineering week celebration. This event is a time to celebrate women's important work in the engineering field and engage the next generation of innovators. Young girls from grade schools across the borderland attended the luncheon to learn from different women in the engineering field. The Mijas were proud to mentor young women while learning from our region's female engineers.
