The Borderplex Veterans Coalition (BVC), a fund of PdN Community Foundation, is proud to announce their inaugural Fall Golf Classic to benefit Veterans and their family members. The four-person scramble will take place Friday, September 17th, 2021, at the Underwood Golf Complex.

The BVC was established to support and nurture a system of organizations that provide holistic transition and reintegration services for the Veterans of the Paso del Norte region.

“The Paso del Norte Borderplex Veterans Coalition partners with all of the Veterans Service Organizations throughout the Paso del Norte Region,” said Eric Lowenberg, PDNBVC board member and golf committee chair, “100% of the proceeds raised at this tournament will go to support these organizations who support Veterans who are transitioning from the military.”

Lowenberg says funds will support services such as homeless prevention, continuing education, and additional resources for Veterans and their family members.

“This is our very first golf tournament and we are hoping to raise close to $50,000 to continue to support our Veteran community,” said Lowenberg.

The vision is to bridge the gap between the numerous Veterans Service Organizations, nonprofit organizations, and the local/county/state/ federal government agencies in the region to ensure no veteran, transitioning service member or military family member falls through the cracks.
