This season we give thanks.
The Paso del Norte Community Foundation was honored to celebrate our 10th anniversary working with individuals, families, corporations, foundations, and nonprofit organizations to improve health, education, social services, economic development, and quality of life in our binational, tri-state region.
The Paso del Norte Community Foundation is excited to announce the launch of its new fund portal, Fundminer.
Year-end giving makes up a significant portion of total revenue for most charitable organizations. Research even shows that a whopping 25% of online giving occurs in December! What this means is that there’s a pretty good chance your donors are already considering end-of-year gifts to support causes they care about, are being asked by at least one nonprofit for an end-of-year gift, or both. That’s why it’s important for you to talk with donors well in advance of the year-end giving rush.
Holidays and tax planning (although very different in the ways they are celebrated!) are both year-end traditions. No doubt you’ve got the holidays covered, and perhaps your advisors are already helping you make sure your tax planning is in place. It’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with several important year-end charitable giving techniques and deadlines so you can be prepared for conversations with your attorney, accountant, and financial advisor, as well as the team at the Paso del Norte Community Foundation. We stand ready to assist!
The end of the year is a well-documented season of anxiety for many people. Fortunately, working through the list of organizations you'd like to support can be a bright spot. The team at the Paso del Norte Community Foundation can help you accomplish your charitable giving objectives efficiently, effectively, and joyfully, including tapping into tax benefits. Learn why waiting until the end of the year to complete your giving actually has a silver lining.
The Paso del Norte Trail is thrilled to introduce Iberty Treviño as the new Friends of the Trail Coordinator for the PdN Trail. In her role, Iberty is spearheading fundraising initiatives, grassroots engagement, event planning, and building our volunteer program. Since joining the team, Iberty has proven to be an invaluable asset to the Paso del Norte Trail project by growing awareness of the trail on Giving Day. “ We were deeply moved to see that with the support of the community, we were able to raise an impressive $7,415, including a generous match from Marathon Petroleum,” Iberty says. Funds will be used to enhance the PdN Trail through a series of events, expanded outreach, and the implementation of essential trail amenities.
