The Paso del Norte Community Foundation established the Migrant and Refugee Support Fund (MRS Fund) to support local nonprofit organizations responding to the humanitarian crisis on the border by providing food, shelter, healthcare and support services to thousands of migrants and refugees who find themselves on our front door seeking asylum, safety, and a better life.
While local, state and federal resources are being deployed, there is a continuing need for philanthropy to fill gaps and ensure that nonprofit entities have the resources they need. Contributions to the Migrant and Refugee Support Fund will be deployed in coordination with the City and County of El Paso to entities in greatest need for expenses not being funded or reimbursed by other sources.
Donors are also welcome to give directly to the local organizations involved in response efforts. Sacred Heart Church has further developed a list of items needed that you can find here.
