The Paso del Norte Community Foundation established the Migrant and Refugee Support Fund (MRS Fund) to support local nonprofit organizations responding to the humanitarian crisis on the border by providing food, shelter, healthcare and support services to thousands of migrants and refugees who find themselves on our front door seeking asylum, safety, and a better life.
While local, state and federal resources are being deployed, there is a continuing need for philanthropy to fill gaps and ensure that nonprofit entities have the resources they need.
We invite individuals, corporations and foundations to volunteer and/or consider a gift to any of these entities directly, or to the Migrant and Refugee Support Fund in the Paso del Norte Community Foundation, which will be deployed as gifted to entities in greatest need.
Local organizations involved in response efforts include:
Tangible personal property. Examples may be real estate, oil, gas, or mineral interests.
Bequests, appreciated securities, life insurance, retirement plans, and charitable remainder trusts, and more.
