Cowgirl Up proudly celebrated its launch, bursting onto El Paso’s creative scene as a bold new charitable fund on a mission to empower young women in the arts through scholarships, mentorship, and dynamic community partnerships.

The Paso del Norte Community Foundation and Paso del Norte Health Foundation received UTEP’s highest honor, the Presidential Gold Bar Award, for their lasting impact on students, faculty, and the greater borderland community.

Four Eastwood High School seniors were awarded $10,000 each through the Jim Omohundro Courageous Leadership Award, created by Ryan Omohundro to honor his father, a former EPPD officer and entrepreneur. 

The Amigo Airsho Maverick Foundation is reigniting the region’s passion for flight through community impact and educational support, including the Skybound Scholarship. This year, eight local seniors received scholarships to launch their journey toward a future in aerospace innovation.

This May, the City of El Paso named the EPMA’s Plein Air Terrace in honor of Judy Robison for her leadership on the Star Ceiling project and lifelong commitment to the arts.

After connecting at last week’s job fair, 15 students will soon begin 280 paid hours at local nonprofits. Final placements coming soon!

Strive Now’s Collab & Create gala brought the community together for a night celebrating youth empowerment, featuring dinner, speakers, local art, and the Tito’s Way Scholarship, while showcasing the organization’s impact: over 400 teens reached and more than 750 hours of service since 2022.

The Paso del Norte Community Foundation is excited to announce the launch of the Power, Purpose, Plan: Fund Development learning series, featuring 22 outstanding nonprofit organizations. The series is led by nationally recognized fundraising expert Dr. Andrea Tawney of ATawney Consulting LLC.

The Paso del Norte Community Foundation has been selected to receive a major three-year grant from the Fidelity Charitable® Catalyst Fund. This multi-year support will help us expand our efforts to inspire donor giving and strengthen high-impact nonprofit organizations across our region.

The Paso del Norte Community Foundation recently awarded the Coach McLain Track and Cross-Country Scholarship to Marley Jewell, a standout student-athlete from Eastwood High School. Created by the Spoon family in honor of Coach McLain’s inspiring legacy, the scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate excellence both on and off the track. Marley’s achievements and dedication make her a deserving recipient, and PdNCF is proud to support her future while honoring Coach McLain’s lasting impact.

Happy New Year from PdNCF! Many of you have been fund holders or fund advisors at the Paso del Norte Community Foundation for years, and we are grateful. Some of you established a donor-advised fund, field-of-interest fund, scholarship fund, or unrestricted fund in 2024, and we’re so glad you did.
